So glad you’re checking us out. We hope you’ll follow along on our journey.
Who This Blog is For…
If you’re reading this first blog post, chances are you are a client, a friend, a leadership development colleague, or someone who’s been in an LLS experience in the past.
You may be a learning and development professional – a coach, facilitator, educator, instructional designer. You may be a leader – developing a strategic vision, guiding organizational change, building a talent pipeline. You may be a learning junkie – in developmental psych, behavioral economics, mindfulness or systems thinking.
Or you may be my mom and her Bridge Club. This blog is for all of you.
And to be honest, this blog is for me. I advise my executive clients that they need an “idea lab” – a place where can just explore half-baked thoughts, be a little more creative and a little more tentative than what their more public-profile leadership roles will allow. The best leaders (thinkers, researchers, artists, inventors, humans) have time and space to just “be” and not “do.” And to “be” in conversation with others is even better.
What To Expect…
If you’re interested in our consulting practice in executive coaching, team development and leadership curriculum, please check out our website. We’re doing some phenomenal work with clients who make going to work everyday a joy. Creative, collaborative, research-based, experiential. I can say with real pride that I think we bring the best expertise, credentials, and track-record of anyone in this space.
This blog serves a different purpose and will have a more personal feel. Some blogs will share with conviction advice I wish I’d been given five, ten, twenty years ago. Some will be more inquisitive (maybe this…maybe that…what do you think?).
It will be a lot less Dr. Harbison and a lot more “Annie and Friends.” You’ll get plenty of references to the latest HBR article, Gallup research finding or positive psych trend. But I’m just as likely to share insights from theater, theology, hockey strategy, or southern living (find out more in This I Know for Sure…).
Join the Conversation…
So, we’d love for you to join the conversation. My inaugural blogs tell you more about Where I’m Coming From, Everything I’ve Learned About Communication in Three Bullet Points, and my experience of getting stuck and unstuck in Highways and Byways.
